Unfortunately for the 1839 Large cents two types were struck in the same year. The first type is a Matron Head (1835-1839) that also has 4 different varieties for 1839.
The second is the Braided Hair (1839-1857) type. This one is the most common with values of $15.00-$40.00 for average circulated coins. The coin needs to be seen for an accurate assessment, so please, take it to a coin dealer for a better idea of value.
This is a Coronet Large Cent. In decent condition $40 to $50...In excellent condition $1000 to $1500
A 1798 Draped Bust Large Cent is worth in good condition (G4): $110-$200.
It depends on if it's a Large cent or Small cent, both were made that year. Post new question.
In average circulated condition, values run from $20.00 to $45.00 for this U.S. large cent.
I have an 1839 one cent indian head small penny is this a mistake? and rare maybe I have the only one. The first Indian Head cent was minted in 1859. You probably have a badly worn or damaged 1899.
