6-14-11>>> With a date of 1924 the coin is of the Standing Liberty series (1916-1930) of US quarters and is fairly common. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. Assuming the coin is circulated and has no mintmarks, retail values for low grade coins are $15.00-$25.00, better grade are $30.00-$45.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $80.00-$140.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer.
No, 1924 is a Standing Liberty quarter, Washington quarters started in 1932.
About $140
There was no such coin minted in the USA in 1924.
The Standing Liberty quarter is an American coin that was produced from 1916 to 1930. A quarter is a coin worth 25 cents. Information about the Standing Liberty quarter can be found on Wikipedia.
it is worth about 50 dollars
Are you sure this is a 1924 standing liberty silver dollar? All my resources tell me there were no standing liberty silver dollars minted in 1924. The peace silver dollar was the coin minted in 1924. There were no standing Liberty dollars. The quarter issued from 1916 to 1930 bears the standing Liberty design, and the half issued from 1916 to 1947 bears the walking Liberty design. No, there is no running Liberty design, LOL!
This is not a coin made by the US mint. It is probably worth only the metal value. It could be that it is only gold-plated. If it is pure gold then it is worth whatever amount of gold is in the coin.

An 1861 Liberty Seated quarter is worth $25.00-$80.00 in average condition. A 2005 Kansas State Quarter with a Buffalo on the reverse is 25 cents.
No such coin exists. The last Liberty quarter (the standing Liberty) was last minted in 1930, however if you have a Washington quarter, that date is rather common and it is worth around $5.25 in silver content in average circulated condition.
It's still worth 25 cents.
You have a Standing Liberty Quarter - a 1929 coin in at least good condition (G4) is worth: $6.00; if this coin's mint state is MS60, the value rises to: $150.00. By the way, the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter in good condition is worth: $3500!
