Uh, the "lady" is Miss Liberty, as in Statue of Liberty, Liberty Head nickels, etc., etc. You need to know the coins' dates and mint marks to have a reasonable idea of their value. A lot of late (1939-45) Mercury dimes are only worth about $1 for the silver they contain, but some are worth much more. Also you can look at a price guide like the one linked below:
Your coin is a familiar Jefferson nickel rather than a Liberty nickel, and it isn't made of silver. Liberty nickels were made from 1883 to 1912, and popular mythology to the contrary, nearly all US nickels are made of an alloy of copper and nickel, with no silver at all. The only nickels that ever contained silver were minted during WWII. Please see the Related Question.
The value of a 1939 silver winged liberty dime can vary based on its condition and rarity. Generally, these dimes are worth their silver content, which is about $1.40 as of the current silver spot price. If the coin is in very good condition or is considered rare, it could be worth more to collectors. It's best to have the coin evaluated by a professional coin dealer to get an accurate value.

If it the date is 1939 and it says "HALF DOLLAR" on the back then this is not a one-ounce bullion coin; they were first issued in 1986. It's an actual coin that was used in ordinary commerce. Its value is mostly determined by the current price of silver which changes every day. Check a site like kitco or CNNMoney for the current spot price of silver, then multiply by 0.36 for an approximate worth.
