Uh, the "lady" is Miss Liberty, as in Statue of Liberty, Liberty Head nickels, etc., etc.
You need to know the coins' dates and mint marks to have a reasonable idea of their value. A lot of late (1939-45) Mercury dimes are only worth about $1 for the silver they contain, but some are worth much more.

They showed an Image of Lady Liberty wearing a cap with wings on it, and named after the Roman mythical figure "Mercury," the messenger god.
