An average of $700-$900...depending on condition. However,if it is one of the models with just two pots and the input jack mounted on the pickguard,I suspect it would be worth even less,as that design is somewhat "less" desirable. Those Guitars were made during what some consider to be Fender's "aimless"days,,,nothing special about a 1984 model.
1984
The worth of a 1984 Fender Strat guitar can vary because of many factors. The condition in which the guitar is in is the most important. Any wear can diminish the worth. See an appraiser for an estimate.
1984 check the pots (vol and tone) as well they will have a code 137 XX XX the first XX s the year secondis the week eg 137 84 23 is 23rd week of 1984.
they've been going on ebay for anywhere b/w 450-600
The E indicates the Stratocaster was made in the eighties. Furthermore, the 4 that follows the E indicates it was made in the fourth year of the eighties. Therefore, you would think the guitar was made in 1984. Now, here's what makes it difficult. The E4 was also used on American Standards all the way up to 1988. Therefore, you guitar would have to be made from 1984 to 1988. That's the best I can do cowboy. According to the Fender website E4 series were made in 1984.
A series serials are not even listed on this page:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squier#Serial_NumbersI would guess it's a very early US or Japanese build.Does it have a Made in USA/Japan on the headstock?
Depends on the condition - e-series Made In Japan Stratocasters are now very collectable, and contrary to popular misconception, are worth more than their American made 80s contemporaries (but considerably less than older US Strats). The MIJ Strats - particularly those produced in the Fujigen factory - are considered to be superior quality to mid-80s US Strats, and among the best Strats ever made. A 1984-7 MIJ Strat in good condition would probably fetch up to $500. Prices are going up as people realise the quality of these instruments and they start to get "vintage" status.
Under the driver side fender
what is a 1984 Honda cr60 worth today
if it looks the same shape as the old one yes
Fender didn't keep track of acoustic serial numbers. I just got one. Fender.com says they were made in 1984-1987.
The Fender Telecaster with the serial number E 807955 was produced in the year 1984. The "E" prefix indicates that it was made in the early 1980s, specifically in the period from 1983 to 1984. For a more precise dating, additional details such as the features and components of the guitar would be necessary.
