I am interested as well as I just received this same gun as an inheritance. The gun has no chrome but is blued steel with serial number 450941. Anyone with any help?
These were some of the most popular design double action revolvers. Many companies including H&R, Iver Johnson and others produced similar revolvers. Keep in mind, these were ORIGINALLY designed for Black Powder (LOW PRESSURE) ammo. MANY are known to POP OPEN dramatically when fired and are UNSAFE!
Value remains pretty low (MANY MANY were made) and nice examples with extensive engraving or embellishments fetch in the $300 range. Typical nickel (Not Chrome)or blue finish samples run $100 -$150.
My advice, DO NOT SHOOT THEM but IF YOU MUST, have them checked by a professional gunsmith FIRST!
