My Bugdie had a big red bump on its back. We had to put it down.
I just got stung by a hornet yesturday on the scalp and the stinger remained in my scalp for over an hour. First I noticed my bicep on the side where my scalp was stung began aching and of coarse the the area on my head continued to sting and ache even after the stinger was finally removed. The person who pulled the stinger out said there was a 1 inch bump and it was quite red. Later, about 30 minutes later, I started to have a very slight problem swallowing, but nothing drastic. Today, the area is still itchy and still has a bump in the area of the stinger. What's probably happening is your lymph nodes swelling up. Lymph nodes swell up when there is a bacteria in you body and they swell up because if it.
At 7 weeks you are likely not to have any noticeable bump, especially if it is your first pregnancy. However, you might have a small bump but it would be unlikely to be big enough for people to tell you're pregnant. If you do have a bump it's likely just to be bloating.
A big bump on your penis can be an infection, a tumor, an ingrown hair, or a vein. See your health care provider for accurate diagnosis.

The scalp is highly vascularized, and pretty much any type of a laceration to the scalp would cause profuse bleeding, depending on where and how big it is.

Probably a clogged pore on the scalp called a sebaceous cyst. I have many of these and have gone to plastic surgeon and dermo to get them cut out if they get too big. they take off a little bit of hair (not noticable on me -i have long hair) -they numb you then remove the mass. It's quick but not inexpensive- like $400? One thing that might help rid them; use conditioner only on the ends of your hair-not the scalp. I understand they can be hereditary, are nothing to worry about and not that uncommon.
it may be a serois medical conditiion, ask a vet. is the rat old? is the bump big? is the lump swollen? is the bump on a patch of thin skin? where has your rat been? is the bump smooth or scaly or something else?
