Well before ebay, some people were thinking they were worth thousands. I have heard stories about real wood and glass being used to make the old ones. That is false. I just bought one new in box for $370 shipped to my door. Which is super cheap. Anymore regardless of age they are worth 500 to 1200 this is a mint condition quote. If it is mint the box has no bearing on the price. Mint is still hard to find because skin oil will ruin the gold trim on them. I myself being beerlightbroker (ebay name). I wouldn't pay more than a grand for one.
