CR1220 is a battery cell, also known as a lithium coin battery that comes with a high voltage of around 3V and encompasses an ultra-compact design, helping you get rid of the difficulty of buying two or three extra traditional batteries, saving both the cost and the space needed to adjust these cells in the relevant devices.

My Canon SX10 was instantly displaying a message to "replace the batteries" the first time I tried to take a picture, even after replacing the AA's with new adn verified strong AAs. I was almost ready to give up when I heard that it might have to do with the coin backup battery and not because of the AA's. I replaced with new CR1220 and that solved my problem.

$10 WATCH BATTERIES! (Wow, I actually have an Answer to a car question.) Volvo remote requires CR1220 3V lithium batteries found in any jewelry store (If Brit go to the jewellery store). After checking EVERY auto parts chain I found...go figure...at the local WAL*Mart. Had to ask the sweet lady, who had just completed mixing a gallon of "St. Croix accent base" house paint, answering the public address announcement alerting to the need of assistance in the "fine jewelry department." Bless her heart...with a smile, she eased behind the glass case, unlocked a hidden safe containing the secret stash of timepiece batteries. NORMAL TIME READING Hour, Minute, Second and Weekday, Depress S1 to show month, date and weekday Depress S2 to show Alarm Time Depress S4 to turn on the EL-light 2.
