It depends on how much of an theist they actually are. I don't presume to speak for them, but most Christians believe God created the world and that He or She actually contributed to the Big Bang.
I also don't presume to speak for all Christians but the Big Bang is all but proven (ever heard of COBE?). However a common misconception is that the Big Bang explains what caused the Universe to exist. The Big Bang only explains that the Universe was once in an extremely hot and dense state and expanded rapidly. As a Christian I believe The Bible and it says in the beginning God created the Heavens (universe) and the Earth. The Bible doesn't, however, explain how or how long God took. Therefore I believe that God started the universe in motion but I also believe the Big Bang describes very accurately what happened in the beginning with regard to matter.
Yes.
Most Christians respond to Big Bang Cosmology like Jesuit priest George LeMaitre -- he developed the idea, so he thinks it's a good description of God's creation.
According to the believes of physics and the big bang, we know that the big bang was both big and a bang. Since we are still receiving radiation from the big bang, So considering that factor I would say that it was big and a bang. What do you believe?
Big Bang - Big Bang album - was created on 2009-08-19.
The Pope does, so I guess other Christians can, too.At a very fundamental level, the phrase "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep." is not a bad description, as far as we know, of the conditions prior to the Big Bang.
in my view there is no big bang theory vs religion, since the theory it self gives credibility to the genesis story based on GOD creating the universe and all life forms.
The Best of Big Bang
How did it what? - It isn't known what caused the Big Bang, if that's what you mean.
The big bang created itself.
big bang: This is the big bang theory
The Big Bang leads to huge clouds of hydrogen and helium, which eventually condense into galaxies.
Some questions about the Big Bang theory and its implications for the origin of the universe include: What caused the Big Bang? How did the universe evolve after the Big Bang? What evidence supports the Big Bang theory? What are the implications of the Big Bang for our understanding of the universe's beginning and future?
