If your coin says "QUARTER DOLLAR" on the back it's a Washington quarter and is worth only 25¢ John F. The coin is likely a 1879 Morgan dollar, no US dollar coin is a "Liberty dollar". In general $25.00-$35.00, but it also depends on the condition of the coin and if it has any mintmarks. Look at it again and post new question with more info. Mintmarks are on the reverse above the letters DO in dollar.

To determine which coin you have it is necessary to locate the mint mark. This mark consists of a small letter located on the reverse [tails] side of the coin just below the tail feathers of the eagle. The letter "O" is for New Orleans. The letter "S" is for San Francisco. If there is no letter the coin was minted at Philadelphia.
