GA16de
timing chain
Nissan's GA16DE engine as fitted to 100NX, Primera, Almera, Sunny and likely others.
Need to know the engine number as in sr20e or ga16de to help you.
yes, both motors are exactly alike. 1.6L DOHC engine code: GA16DE
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Sentra, which is not an authoritative source: All trims except the SE have the GA16DE, offering 1.6L, 114 horsepower (85 kW). The GA16DE engine is less powerful than the SR20DE engine, but still offers quite a punch. The SE sedan came with the same 2.0 L SR20DE engine as the SE-R.
Both engines (US Models) use timing chains. Upper and lower chains in the GA16DE (1.6 liter engine) and a single chain the the SR20DE (2.0 liter engine).
98 Nissan sentra only came with ga16de and sr20de, any ve motor would be considered a swap seeing that its a motor made strictly only in japan
99 sentra GXE with GA16de motors have timing chain I believe.
FIRST IT DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF THE ENGINE AS TO CAPCITY OF COOLANT. THE SR20DE MOTOR HOLDS 6.5 QTS OF COOLANT. THE GA16DE MOTOR HOLDS 5.5 QTS IF IT HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND 6.0 QTS FOR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
The Nissan Skyline engine is the Nissan RB engine.
You can find a Nissan engine diagram at most Nissan dealerships. You can also find the Nissan engine diagram at most auto-parts stores. The
