The SWOT analysis is critical to the success, stability, and survivability of any organization. The SWOT analysis is a mechanism for analyzing an organizations : * Strengths * Weaknesses * Opportunities * Threats Organizations use the SWOT analysis to get a clearer picture of the above and how they marry up to internal and external driving forces affecting it's overall operation. The purpose here is to maximize the organizations strengths and opportunities, while minimizing it's weaknesses and threats. However the SWOT should not be without a PEST analysis to match the SWOT up to in regards to the Political, Economic, Social, and Technological environment in which it resides. Viper1
