A Wilson Walkie is a toy made to walk down a ramp on it's own. They were made in Watrontown PA, in the early 1930's by John Wilson. They say they " saved the town during the depression." They were made from the cones from thread and decorated to include clowns, penguins, Easter Bunny, santa clause, army man, nurse, sailor, mammy, eskimo, pig, elephant, and red riding hood etc. There were more designs and the is a book for the history you can find on Ebay.
