A system backup is a copy of your computer data. It is usually the files you have saved on your computer but can also extend to other data such as your applications, settings, operating system and metadata.
One can perform a system backup several different ways. One can backup their system to an online service. You can also do a backup to an external hard drive.
A fail-safe is a backup feature that that counteracts a failure in a system.
Online backup means to backup you system data from your hard drive to an online cloud server
it's a system state backup.
ASR Backup and ASR Disk
The restore process depends entirely on how the backup was created, and by what program. On my servers, using a clone of the entire system is easiest, but in industry you take a full backup and do the restore from that backup set. This can only be done after a simple install of the system to get to the point that you could do the restore.

Automated System Recovery
By default, a backup of the registry system is in My Documents. This can be changed in the system default settings.
Use the backup utility to backup the system state.
To change your system backup destination, open your backup settings by navigating to the control panel or settings menu, depending on your operating system. Look for the backup options, which may be labeled as "Backup and Restore" or "File History." Select the option to change or modify the backup location and choose your desired destination, such as an external drive or cloud storage. Finally, confirm the changes and initiate a new backup to ensure it's saved to the new location.
