It's not really a specific wrench, it's where you use a second wrench to keep the housing or rest of the hose from turning as you screw on the threaded section.

Imagine trying to put a hose on a faucet, but the hose wants to turn with the coupling. A backup wrench would go on the hose to prevent it from turning as you tightened the coupling.

There are several things on the market to replace the backup wrench.

Where is the backup light switch 93 Toyota Paseo?

The backup light switch is under the air filter assembly. You'll have to remove the assembly to get at it. There are only two wires on top of the transaxel assembly. One is a very obvious ground wire, the other is the backup light switch. Have fun, you'll need a 10mm wrench and a 12mm wrench for the job.

What are the four electrical switches on an 88 Pathfinder and which one is for the backup lights?

I don't know what you mean by "four electrical switches", but the backup switch is the forward most switch assembly on the passenger side of the manual transmission case. It has two wires & a connector. It's very tricky to get a wrench on it, at least it is on the '89.

Backup lights do not work on 2001 Sunfire Cannot get to the backup switch if it's located on the Manual Transmission?

The backup light switch is located on the transmission behind the driver's side front wheel. If the wheel is removed, you can see the switch. It's located directly below the shift cables and is easily accessible with a 17 or 19mm wrench. The plug is a two wire type that has a latch that must be lifted up to remove the plug.
