Was dinosaurs put on earth when man was created?

yes!because in start when the earth made by god he made also the dinosaurs, people, plants, animals and many many more!Another Answer:From the fossil evidence and modern dating techniques, it would appear dinosaurs were here before the creation of mankind. Genesis supports this by God telling man is to be the 'manager' of the Earth and all that is within it. After the Flood, God put an 'awareness' into animals making them apprehensive if not fearful of mankind. So man doesn't seem to have been around with the dinosaurs - but perhaps there were just a few.Consider this description in the Book of Job:Job 40:15-28New King James Version (NKJV) 15 "Look now at the behemoth,[a] which I made along with you;He eats grass like an ox.16 See now, his strength is in his hips,And his power is in his stomach muscles.17 He moves his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.18 His bones are like beams of bronze,His ribs like bars of iron.19 He is the first of the ways of God;Only He who made him can bring near His sword.20 Surely the mountains yield food for him,And all the beasts of the field play there.21 He lies under the lotus trees,In a covert of reeds and marsh.22 The lotus trees cover him with their shade; The willows by the brook surround him.23 Indeed the river may rage,Yet he is not disturbed; He is confident, though the Jordan gushes into his mouth,24 Though he takes it in his eyes,Or one pierces his nose with a snare.Footnotes:Job 40:15 A large animal, exact identity unknownThe above description seems ideal for a recently discovered pair of dinosaurs - the baluchitherium from the Pakistan region - aka the 'El Dorado' of fossils:In 2003, the French team built a composite skeleton of the Baluchitherium. The skeleton suggested that the giant creature was five-meters tall and weighed 20 tonnes, almost as massive as the size of three large elephants! This is considered the largest land mammal known to date. Both descriptions are similar, so was this creature around in the pre-flood days? Since there are no eye-witnesses, we must depend upon science using their educated guesses. Then there is 'leviathan' that some think is a big gator or like it. But really, no one is sure what it was/is:Job 41:1-3New King James Version (NKJV) 41 "Can you draw out Leviathan[a] with a hook,Or snare his tongue with a line which you lower?2 Can you put a reed through his nose,Or pierce his jaw with a hook?3 Will he make many supplications to you? Will he speak softly to you?Footnotes:Job 41:1 A large sea creature, exact identity unknownFor now, we simply cannot know for sure in any dinosaurs were living with mankind. But the fossil record is sure that there were dinosaurs.

What animals died during the ice age?

Animal life in the last Ice Age consisted of a larger diversity of animals closely related to those that live today, including relatives of bears, lions, buffaloes, sloths, and monkeys as well as species known to be extant today. The climate of the time was overall colder in average global temperature, so many types of animals existed that were adapted to the cold (e.g. many types of mammoths); others were adapted towards life on the dry interiors of continents such as North America (e.g. Smilodon cats). A small sampling of extinct species known to have lived in the Ice Age is given below:Mammuthus primigenius (the woolly mammoth)Mammuthus columbianii (the Columbian mammoth)Mammut americanum (the American mastodon)Smilodon populator (the largest Sabre-toothed cat)Glyptotherium texanum (giant armadillo)Megatherium americanum (giant ground sloth)Coelodonta antiquitatis (the woolly rhinoceros)Arctodus simus (the giant short-faced bear)Megalodon carcharodon (the giant white shark)Panthera Leo spelaea (the cave lion)Homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthal man)

In Job 40 verses 15 to 24 what animal is the 'behemoth' living at the time of Job?

A:Job 40 contains fragmentary references to a now-lost creation story, similar to others from West Semitic mythology. The behemoth and the leviathan were chaos monsters that God defeated at the time of creation. God slayed the leviathan, drew out his tongue and broke his head, but the behemoth accepted defeat and the indignity of eating grass like an enormous ox. Answer:The category this question falls into is 'Old Testament' of the Bible and not some lost mythology of mankind. As such, the Creation story in Genesis is fully present. With the above set, let's look at the verses noted: "Behold now behemoth, which I (God) made WITH thee;" get that, living in the reign of man. Continuing we read that this creature had a 'tail like a cedar' or very large tree - a comparison to other creatures no doubt. "He (behomoth) is the chief of the ways of God (the big land creature): He that made him can make His sword to approach unto him." This creature is so large that no man at that time could hope to kill behomoth, only God could. An awesome animal. So this animal was a tremendous creature with a very large tail that lived in the waters of the Jordan having a very large mouth as the NIV states, "If a river rages, he is not alarmed; He is confident, though the Jordan rushes to his mouth." Any Pre-Adamic, young creationist theory does not fit here as 'sauropods' had tiny mouths and drank in a sucking manner through a straw. Further, Job states Behemoth ate grass. Most Geologist today would note that grasses are only foundafter the 'Cretaceous' period when dinosaurs roamed but are specifically mentioned in the Creation story of Genesis 1:11-12. As there are no fossil records with human bones being found with dinosaurs, behemoth cannot be a dinosaur. So what was behomoth (Hebrew for 4 legged beast)or was Job just making up a story to illustrate a point?Well so far we have shown that he wasn't a dino. The Fossil record does show a creature with massive bones classified as an unknown type of rhino. In 1910, a British scientist discovered such a creature and named it 'Baluchitherium,' meaning beast of 'Baluchistan'after the province in Iran where the bones were found. Note here, this area of Israel to Iran to Saudi Arabia to Egypt is generally the area of the origins of man in the Bible and not Africa where scientist now claim was the starting place. In 2003, a French team of scientists returns to the area and found COMPLETE remains of many male & femail baluchitherium just lying on the ground suggesting that these massive creatures were swept away by a river flooding, accumulating on its banks. The dimensions of the fossil indicated that this animal had a head that was 5 foot long with a gaping mouth fitting its body size proportionally. They estimated that it stood 18 feet tall at the shoulder and 26 feet tall at its neck. From the tip of its nose to the rump, it was 30 feet long. This is equivalent to about 3 of todays African Elephants. It had a large 8 foot long tail like the cedar description of Job. Quite a behemoth!!The Illustrated Library of the Natural Sciences, Volume 2 says this is the largest land mammal to ever existed and 'represents about the maximum size to which a land-living mammal can develop.Last point in support of this animal, Job never mentions any 'horns' in his account and the fossil record doesn't show any being found. So far, in man's search for answers, this fossil evidence is the best candidate for the 'behemoth' thus discovered :)

Did dinosaurs exist at time of the flood?

No. The accepted scientific consensus is that the dinosaurs died out almost 65 million years before people appeared on earth. That means the dinosaurs were gone long before Noah would have loaded his ark. You can read many interesting facts about dinosaurs at the related link provided below. The physical size of the ark and the lack of reference to dinosaurs specifically makes it unlikely that, should the ark be real, dinosaurs would have been on it.

Does the Bible or 'Judeo-Christian' thought explain what Behemoth and Leviathan in Job 40 v6 thru 41 v34 truly are?

You can find the meaning of Behemouth in a Strong's Concordance ... its Hebrew word 929,930, however the definition given in Job 40:15 through 24. would be enough to understand its a dinosaur that is being discussed as there is no animal of the mass being discussed, in existence today.
