AA
"AA"
Battery size is measure in 2 ways. The actual physical dimensions of the battery and the size in Cold Cranking Amps (CCA). Purchase a battery that is physically the same size as the battery you are replacing or it will not fit. You can purchase a battery with a higher CCA capacity than the one you are replacing. This will cause no problems at all, and will just be a better battery, especially in the winter.
There are different sizes of batteries available to buy and they are have various alphabetical letters to categorize them. For example the "D" battery is normally used for things like huge torches as this size and type of battery is used for portable items that need extended battery life to operate them efficiently.
There are 2 groups, 36R & 58R
A person can tell the proper size by knowing the size of the notches on the battery before heading to the store to purchase. Then based on the size that will determine the battery terminal size required for the battery.
It depends upon the size of the battery. For example, 1 triple A battery (AAA) hardly reach 1/16th kg..:)
AA is the most common battery size.
