My advice is throw away the bump-it. Instead, back comb (tease) your hair one section at a time through the top and crown ( hold a parted section straight up on top of your head, using a comb or nylon bristled brush, hold the bristles against the back of the section, about two inches from scalp, then push the brush(comb) down to scalp while continuing to firmly hold the section straight up. remove the brush from the section and replace it 2 inches from scalp and repeat the same motion. Repeat this for several sections. Hair spray the sections, then brush the hair into the desired position, carefully smoothing out the top layer with a bristle brush so as not to remove the inner teasing. If this sounds too complicated, go to a salon and ask a stylist to teach you how to get this look.
