How do you free a jammed Automatic choke?
usually what happens is the butterfly gums up with dirt/ soot looking stuff. grab a can of carbi cleaner and an airline and blow out the throttle body. i usually use a rag or bit of paper towel to cover is so stuff doesn't fly everywhere cos carbi clean strips paint. whilst doing this i usually work the butterfly to get right in there. note: when starting the car it will cough and splutter for a few seconds cos of all the carbi clean you use. at the same time clean any linkages that are part of the choke system. cos they can sometimes stick depending on the setup. if it's a manual choke . ie a choke cable setup, check to make sure the cable hasn't seized of lack of lubrication.

YZ50A dirty carb. it also might be on chokecheck the carbi and they are not mento idel because its a 2 stroke, try letting it warm up tooI had the same problem with my bike you just have to let it warm up then it should be fine.

First of all DO NOT USE PETROL to prime the carburetor. There is Starting Fluid expressly for that. Gasoline can and will explode. Starter fluid, us3ed correctly will cause enough "fire" in the cylinders to start the vehicle. The vehicle may not run due to lack of fuel. It is possible that the fuel system has a problem. If you are having to prime the carburetor every time the car sits for awhile then the needle valve in the carb needs replacing or the float has a hole in it. Either way you will need to take the carb apart and repair it. Saying all this I doubt very seriously that your car has a carburetor. Carbs have not been used on engines for a very long time. The fact that you say you have a warning light of a car and key indicates you have a modern Toyota and that light is on because for some reason or another the ECU is not communicating with your remote key. I suspect you have a fuel delivery issue as the above answer stated. Seek professional help.

I've had this happen a few times when I warning flash other drivers of road hazards ahead, the immediate cure is to knock firmly on a largish blackbox near the carbi. I believe it to be a relay that probably has a small arc when activated that can temporarily weld the contacts together, the knock breaks this contact and the lights go out. Mines an 85 model btw.

a 9.9hp can be converted into a 15hp by putting a 15hp carbi on the 9.9 or the little valve that letts the fuel through can be change to a bigger one off a 15hp but that only makes it a 12hp orso. to make it a 15 you need to change the megaphone or exhast whicth can be done but it is very hard. this gives it more power just like when you powerband on a motobike
