A compound object is an object of a verb or a preposition that is two or more words. For example:

Jane baked cookies and brownies for the party. ('cookies and brownies' is the direct object of the verb 'baked')

Jane baked cookies for Jack and Jill. ('Jack and Jill' is the object of the preposition 'for')

On our trip we visited a theme park, the beach, a zoo, and grandma.
