The vast majority of Confederate bills are replicas. Anything made since the 1970s by law must have the word COPY or REPLICA printed on it, but older copies don't have that restriction. Large numbers were printed and given away in promotions or sold at gift shops and the like.

Check that bill again. The Confederacy ceased at the end of the U.S. Civil War in 1865.
