It's part of your anti-virus software, I think if you are using Virgin Media's AV program it can be found in C:/ Program Files/ Trend Micro/ coreServiceShell.exe. Try running a full AV scan from the Virgin Media Security console then open your Task Manager, select the processes tab and you will see coreSevicesShell running and probably hogging a lot of your CPU resourses. I had to turn my Virgin Media Security off as this was slowing down my computer.
