Corporal in the British Army is a JNCO ( Junior Non Commission Officer ), The insignia is 2 chverons, A Corporal is in charge of a section of 8 men. A section involves 2 fire teams of 4 men. Charlie and Delta. There is 3 sections to a platoon and a Sergeant is in charge of a platoon along with an officer. So a Corporal is lower in the chain of command.
