Size.
The Difference engine is a engine that Charles tried to build 1850-1859, it was to be used to calculate logarithmic tables.
The Difference Machine was started in 1821 but failed its test in 1833. In 1842 Charles Babbage created the Analytical Engine; he completely abandoned the Difference Machine. It was never completed but it helped improve Britain's machine-tool industry. In 1991, the National Museum of Science and Technology built a replica of the Difference Machine; it was a real working one. In 1879, Charles Babbage's son reassembled a section of the Difference Machine, which was auctioned for auction in London auctioned in Sydney for $282,000.

The Analytical Engine and The Difference Engine
The computers invented by Charles Babbage were the Difference Engine and the Analytical Engine. Neither was finished in his lifetime but gave him fame as a computer pioneer.
Babbage proposed his difference engine in 1822 and his analytical engine some years later. Both were mechanical computers (like old adding machines) Babbage built neither. It was not until recently (1991) that a working difference engine was completed.
his son used some difference engine parts, but really nobody was interested in digital computers
He invented the Difference Engine between 1847 and 1849, a forerunner to modern computers. He is sometimes regarded as the father of computers. He also invented a machine called the Analytical Engine.

Early computers came in form of abacus and pascals adding machine which are rudimentary calculators but the first modern computer was the difference engine by charles babbage in 1847.

The Service Vehicle Soon indicator is usually a light bulb, headlight, or something to do with the vehicle. The Service Engine Soon indicator is anything that could be wrong with the Engine. Some computers can read codes for either, but some computers can only read codes for the Service Engine indicator.
In 1822, Charles Babbage conceptualized and began developing the Difference Engine which was never completed in full scale. Then in 1837, he conceptualized the Analytical Engine which his son, Henry Babbage, completed in 1910.
