Well, if an earthquake hits into a building, the building shows some cracks and starts deforming but it does not collapse, then the building is ductile structure. now consider a building to be a natural thing like a mountain, then you have a proper application of a ductile structure.

some of them are ductile depending on the structure

Why gold is more ductile than sodium?

Both gold and sodium are metals. Gold has face centred cubic crystal structure, sodium has body centered cubic structure. A face centred cubic structure allows an easy movement of dislocations in the lattice. Gold is extraordinarily ductile.

What structure form as a result of ductile deformation?

Geological structures form as a result of ductile deformation. These structures include glacier rock, slate, and other such features found as a result of rock wearing down.

no they're not malleable and ductile

Explain the transformation from ductile to brittle structure?

This transformation has everything to do with the cooling rate of the material. A slower cooling rate will yield a tougher more ductile material structure, and a more rapid cooling rate will yield a hard and brittle material. A slower release of energy will give more space between the atoms in the material, faster energy losses gives a more dense atomic structure.
