A wire gauze is a mesh made from wire, and is basically used as a filter or s sieve.
Most common is paper, aftermarket filters made of Gauze and foam are available.
Gauze is one of those words that we don't make plural. May I have some gauze? May I have five pieces of gauze. There is a lot of gauze on the floor.
I fuel injection its underneath near fuel tank, if carb it doesnt have one however depends on the carb type, it may have gauze filter in inlet on carb.
Gauze is made of cottan
He wrapped his injury in gauze. The gauze curtains blew in the breeze.
It doesnt have a conventional filter. It will have a bolt on the opposite side to the sump bolt which when removed will have a spring then a small gauze basket filter. This can be cleaned with a solvent and re-fitted. I have never had to change one but if it is damaged then you will probably want to replace it.
The gauze kept the flies off of the meat.
The word "gauze" has one syllable.
To prevent flame impingement on the vessel being heated, which could damage the vessel. A flame cannot pass through a gauze (or screen). as a proof you could set up a bunsen burner beneath a wire gauze. Turn the gas on and ignite the gas above the gauze. you will notice the flame will stay above the gauze. If you ignite the flame beneath the gauze and lower the gauze into the flame, the flame will not pass above the gauze. Yet, if you light both below and above the gauze you will have flame on both sides. Indicating that flames impinging on the gauze do not burn the gas completely and the gas will pass through the gauze.
Yes it does . Two infact. Both inside the automatic transmission box . Both metal gauze and i am led to believe both can be cleaned.
Some carburaters have a built in fuel filter, some depended on an external fuel filter. yup i agree with above ( i was carb specialist for 12 yrs) ideally would need to know what car or carb was and year ? but most modern carbs (1990 >)have a small brass gauze filter before the main jet
