What is a fuel reset button on a 2006 Ford Explorer located under the glove box under the passenger side?

It's a safety device that " breaks " the electrical circuit to the electric fuel pump if
your Explorer receives a substantial jolt , such as a collision or maybe hitting a really
bad pothole . That way no power is flowing to the electric fuel pump and the fuel
pump stops running until the switch is manually reset if there are no gas leaks
