Most Christian churches have a book outlining the marriage ceremony as part of their liturgy. There is no better book than this. Ask your Christian leader to read this to the unmarried couple, and with their appropriate responses, to conclude a marriage. In some countries, it may be necessary for the children to be formally adopted. Having a formal structure to the family will help the relationship of the couple with children.
The Bible would be a great book to start with. From God creating Adam and Eve and other couples who married which are mentioned in the bible, one can see a recurring theme of holy matrimony. But what's more, there are also examples of adultery as in David and Bathsheba's union which reaped devastating outcomes for them and their child born out of wedlock. If you were able to find a good marriage counselor or clergyman who can explain the bible versus best for your understanding, I believe this book would be a great starting point.

yes! From what I have heard it is a long term relationship that did not or has not resulted in legal marriage. I may be wrong but...this what I have heard.
Child support does not depend upon the legal relationship of the parents - instead, it is based upon the relationship between the parent and the child. Thus, parents who are unmarried are still parents and have the same parental rights and obligations to their children as a married or divorced couple would.

A married couple and their children
Yes, in some Christian sects an unmarried couple living together can raise their child according to scripture and doctrine. However, having a child out of marriage and living together before marriage is frowned upon in most churches.
You can adopt as a single parent but as a couple you have to be married.
