Some good popular animes all have to do with your interests and your age. But here are some good ones along with their genre: Horror/Bloody- Hirugashi, Elfen Lied, Zombie Loan, Black . Girly/Chick Flick Type- Shugo Chara, Lucky Star, Flying Hearts? Adventure: Black Rock Shooter, Shakugan No Shana, Zombie Loan.
Magic/Wizardry- Shugo Chara, Black Rock Shooter, Hibiki's Magic?
So pretty much, you can watch all of them on YouTube, Or buy them on DVD. Places to buy are Best Buy, or any other place to get electronics.

Rule of thumb its always better to watch the anime 1st then go back and watch any OVAs that might be available. A lot of OVAs are just recaps from the series so if you watch them 1st it could possibly ruin the series for you.

But I must warn you of you want to watch it, there is a lot of blood and gore, and probably some cussing. There are funny moments in this series tho!
