you could also get her a few small things instead like:

A few books by her favourite author, some cds and a pretty outfit.

or you could buy her something big like a laptop or a CD player and some cds and an

iPod if she loves music.

It depends on the 11 year old girl in question. My sister is about that age and she would love a Barbie Doll, a large Teddy Bear, nail polish (especially scented and glittery), a cute body bath set (again scented- cotton candy or strawberry are a couple of her favorites), flavored chapstick/lip gloss, an mp3 player (even one of the $15 ones), Anime shows/movies (She's currently really into Tokyo Mew Mew), a nice journal, art supplies, balloons to make balloon animals, I really could go on and on. Again this is more directly about my sister who is at the same age.
