I recently went to CDC (central disease center) and a disease that was really big during the 1900's was smallpox. It was very deadly and tragic. Luckily, there is no more small pox carried around the world today, you could say it's "extinct" but the CDC does carry it in their labs. This is a very cool disease to look into. Hope this helped!
