Stage a treasure hunt with clues that lead to other clues. Keep older siblings out of it. Have a treasure box of treats to share at the end of it. This is fun to combine with a pirate theme.

I personally think that having a sleepover with a few of your closest friends is a good idea for this age group. You can plan special, fun activities and games or just hang out. Make cute invites (or buy them) and tell what to bring so your guests will be ready for whatever you plan on doing. Good luck!
