Writing an opening line first implies that you expect the story to develop organically (and somewhat magically) from the line. It doesn't work that way in most cases. Pound out the story first, then see what the hook will be that you can work into the first sentence.
The first sentence in a paragraph. It givesm the reader and idea of what the paragraph/essay is going to be about.
Worry less about the perfect opening sentence and more about finishing the story! Just get moving with it and come up with the perfect sentence later. You can't let some anonymous person on the internet write your story for you - here are some good links to help you get started on your writing.
A good concluding sentence for Christmas is "Have a very happy Christmas everyone!" For Easter, just change Christmas to Easter.
You need an opening sentence similar to an opening sentence in a novel, about a story that happend to a family member or ancestor. "In 1941 Edward Magoli, musician, found himself crawling up a hill with a rifle and radio."
a good opening would bring your reader into a closer point of the story or writing.
An opening sentence for what! Any opening sentence depends entirely on what the rest of the writing is about. It is no good having a sentence like this. The elephant's gestation period is 22 months, the longest of any land animal. if you are writing about global warming.
Any name you want to use is a good name -- you are the writer of the story!

Nobody can write opening sentences but you! An opening sentence is just the first part of your essay, and you have to figure that out for yourself. Only you know what you want to write about. If someone writes what they think is an interesting sentence, it won't be a good one for you.
Your opening sentence is going to depend entirely upon what your writing is about! You'll have to finish the whole thing first and then pick out which sentence or idea is best to lead off with.
