Any 5.7L 350 TBI ( Throttle Body Injection ) Engine from the year 1987 to 1995 will fit right in there with no problems and the computer on your truck will still work.
There are a few online sites where one may be able to find good deals on a used Chevy Silverado 1500. CarGurus is one good site with another being Autotrader.
If the engine is in good condition dont replace it,supercharge it.
