Many factors contribute to deciding what a "good salary" would be (such as where you live and how important it is for you to own lots of nice stuff, take vacations, or splurge on luxuries, dining out, etc.). The '''ideal''' lifestyle would be to consistently spend less than your take-home pay, so that you don't get bogged down with a lot of unnecessary debt.
