It depends on the age level, but generally: * Have something the judges can see. If you can actually repeat the experiment (or some part of it) there, great. Otherwise, have graphs, charts, drawings, exhibits... make it visually appealing. * It's less interesting to do the same thing judges have seen before. "A Chemical Volcano" has some visual appeal, but it isn't all that fascinating the third time, and by the thirtieth it's downright dull. * If you use thermite in your chemical volcano instead of baking soda and vinegar, it won't be dull, but it may get you expelled... avoid things that are too spectacular, especially those that involve either lots of smoke or open flames. * Actually finding something out (original research as opposed to simply repeating something out of a book) is impressive. Environmental stuff is great, since people who know science will be interested in the procedure and people who don't will at least be interested in the results. Find out how much Mercury is in different types of fish, or how much lead is in local streams, or something. * Lots of data is almost always better. If you're doing something with plants, don't use two plants, use two groups of ten; it's not that much harder. If you follow these guidelines, it doesn't matter so much exactly what you do: your project will stand out.
Try to carry sound through a laser, Yes it can be done, for information go to some of the web pages below-
http://www.wikihow.com/Transmit-Audio-With-a-Laser-Pen
http://www.amazing1.com/laser-plans.htm (to buy a laser and make it yourself)
http://docs.Google.com/Doc?docid=dgc2nwz7_54d8k24bff
for more just google how to transmit audio through a laser
I can tell in basic form how it will work-
So there will be a laser iPod transformer and batteries and a laser (green works best) connected on one side. and on the other is a photo resister batteries and some speakers. The laser gets brighter and dimmer as the audio changes. The laser shines on the photo resister which carries the sound to the speakers and plays it. That is pretty much how it will work but more specific steps are found in the links or googling
One good science experiment would be twist in time.It is awesome!!!!For more details about this go to www.stevespanglerscience.com or go to www.9news.com and click on as seen on 9news and click on Steve Spangler science. hope it works!!! =P
There are tons of science experiments you can do. I dod one on how to purify water. I took bottled water and measured it's clarity and pH reading. then I took some dirty pond water and did the same. Then I filtered it with coffee filters 3 times and tok both readings. after that I took a fresh sample and boiled it, doing both tests again. Then i took a new sample and put chlorine in it and did the same. the I mixed the tests in all possible ways and say which one was closest to the water bottle sample. it was fun and simple. :)
Vibration is a good experiment put a pen at the end of ruler and flick the ruler put some paper touching it before you flick it though. the paper will reflect how the pen vibrated when the ruler stops vibrating. Hope I helped.
You could do basics like:
One science experiment in particular that I like would be the egg experiment. Place an egg in a box and help to secure the egg, so that it won't break. Whoevever drops their box and open it and their egg is still whole came out to have a successful project.
depends on difficulty
i suggest flashlight out of a potato

There is no good or bad science. If you enjoy it, it can be categorised as good science but if you do not like science it is bad science
If you would say "Are you good in science?" that would refer to your behavior. However if you would say " Are you good at science?" that can refer to your behavior or your knowledge.
according to me science related articles are good in a science class because they help us to understand the topic better.
Science is merely a tool or knowledge, it is not good or bad by nature. It is the people using the knowledge or products from science to do good or bad thing.
Your school website is a good website to find a science fair project. Science programs for kids typically have websites with projects listed. PBS has a website for kids that includes science projects.
