Kuchipudi before was used by the male brahmins as a medium of worship to the Gods or to simply entertain a crowd of village people. One of the first and famous choreographies of Siddhendhra Yogi is the Bhamakalapam, the story of Satyabhama, the fierce queen of Lord Krishna.
