There are many forms of dance on the islands. Of course, it is the US, and all dances that are done on the US mainland are done here in HI.

Of the cultural dances, the most common are 2 kinds of hula (which, incidentally, just means 'dance'); the Taisian Tamure (known for the incrediblt fast hips; the haka (island/New Zealand/Maoran war dances); and, the typical dance of the Maori, which is a lot like hula but with very noticable hand shaking movements called 'win'. These movements represent the beating heart and flowing blood of life in the dance.
