What is a healthy vegetarian meal?

A healthy vegetarian meal contains some or all of the following:

Fruits

Vegetables

Complex Unrefined Carbohydrates

Protein

Nuts and Seeds.

You don't have to include all of the above as long as you get a good balance of all of them over time.

A vegetarian meal does NOT contain any products derived from slaughtered animals such as:

Meat

Poultry

Fish

Lard

Gelatin

Rennet

Healthy meals will minimize:

Sweeteners

Refined Carbohydrates

Artificial Chemicals

Excess Fat

Excess Salt
