A horizontal axis is one that goes straight across (look at the line below for a refrence)
It is normally referred to the x-axis in Algebra and other math courses. In addition, it is used for science when plotting data with two variables.
the y-axis is vertical, and the x- axis is horizontal

The mars axis poles have ice caps, which is frozen water on mars.
the x-axis... obviously! the x-axis... obviously!
No, they were the axis powers. They joined and fought the Allies. They thought of themselves as an axis, with the world working and revolving around them. If you look at the world map, Germany and Italy do kind of look like an axis.
Mercury
It is very close to perpendicular to its plane of rotation.
An inclined plane wrapped helically around an axis.
It would look like a straight vertical line, i.e. parallel to the y-axis, passing through the point on the x-axis where x=3.
You get a straight line (parallel to the x-axis) that passes through only the y-axis, and it crosses the y-axis at (0,3)
Next to the axis. Next to the axis. Next to the axis. Next to the axis.
the lowest or highest point on the coordinate grid/ graph
