Muscles aren't really known for secreting hormones, unless it is cardiac muscle,it secretes atrial natriuretic peptide( ANP). Neurons secrete neurohormones like anti-diuretic hormone(ADH) and oxytocin.

Why do hormones cause changes only in specific body organ?

Because most hormones are very specific and are secreted for certain processes. However not all of them are so specific as far as organ function, take GH or the growth hormone secreted by the adenohypophysis (anterior pituitary), this hormone is involved with growth of bone and muscle all over your body. Also, even if hormones are specific to what they cause, those causes all trigger and affect other things within our bodies.

Why do skeletal muscle cells have high numbers of micro filaments?

because many proteins are secreted as hormones

What hormones promote bone and muscle healing?

hormones respnsoble for growth and development

Which hormone is important for bone growth during infancy and childhood?

Growth hormone is the hormone that stimulates bone and muscle growth. It is made in the pituitary gland. It is also known as somatotropin. Growth hormone is responsible for the increase in height in children and adolescents. It also increases bone density and muscle mass, and stimulates organ growth.

What hormone is secreted by the muscle fibers in the heart's atrium?

It's Atrial Natriuretic Peptide also known as Atrial Natriuretic Factor or Atrial Natriuretic Hormone or sometimes called Atriopeptin

What is the purpose for hormones produced by the pituitary gland?

Most, but not all, of the pituitary hormones are tropic hormones meaning they regulate the release of hormones from other glands. Exceptions include growth hormone, antidiuretic hormone, and oxytocin.

What hormone increases your heart rate?

Two hormones that affect heart rate are epinephrine and norepinephrine. Both are actively involved with the body's stress response system. These hormones cause the body to increase heart rate so that oxygenated blood can reach muscles faster to promote more muscle strength and endurance.

What are two different hormones are secreted by the pituitary glands?

Oxytocin and vasopressin are neurohypophysis hormones synthesized in the neurons of paraventricular and supraoptic nuclei of the hypothalamus and travel to the terminals in the neurohypophysis for storage and release into the vascular system. Oxytocin stimulates milk ejection and uterine smooth muscle contraction at parturition; while vasopressin affects water retention and blood pressure.

What hormone is responsible for male facial hair and muscle development?

The hormone responsible for male facial hair and muscle development is testosterone. Testosterone is produced primarily in the testes and is responsible for the development and maintenance of secondary sexual characteristics in males, such as facial hair growth and increased muscle mass.

What type of excitatory neurotransmitter is secreted by motor neurons innervating skeletal muscle?

Acetylcholine is the excitatory neurotransmitter released by neurons innervating skeletal muscles. Acetylcholine release stimulates muscle contraction by acting at the nicotinic-acetylcholine receptor on the surface of the muscle cell.

What is the function of hormone secreted by testes?

Name of hormone: testosterone It is responsible for a number of things including development of penis, testes, the growth of facial and pubic hair at puberty, sex drive and muscle strength to name but a few.

What is the hormone secreted by the right atrium?

The hormone secreted by the right atrium is called atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP). It is released in response to an increase in blood volume and helps regulate fluid balance by promoting sodium and water excretion by the kidneys. ANP also plays a role in regulating blood pressure and reducing the workload on the heart.
