A bezel is the decorative/functional piece that surrounds and holds the instruments and gauges in a vehicle.
The panel for the heater under wind screen just clips in remove the panel and you will be able to remove the center bezel.
On the 2002 there is a screw from the inside of the door panel that holds the switch bezel in, so you have to remove the entire door panel. One screw holds the door release bezel which then snaps out. Two torx screws in the area of the door pull. There is also a screw from the bottom of the door pull holding the window switch bezel that you may wan to remove now. There is a screw in the area of the side mirror. Now all that holds the panel in place are tapered plug fasteners. If you start at the top front (behind side mirror) you should be able to see and release the two on the front of the panel. There are five larger ones on the bottom of the door. Continue working your way to the back of the panel. The fourth one is a little higher on the panel than the other four. Release the two on the back of the panel and the panel will lift off the top sill of the window. Remove screw from interior of panel. There were two holding the switch bezel in. The bezel should snap out with spring clips holding it in. One front, one rear, one on each side forward of the screws.
To remove the rear door panel of a Mitsubishi 380, first one must remove the power door/lock switch. Next, remove the door handle bezel followed by the screw that was hidden behind that bezel. Finally, remove the screws located by the armrest handle. The rear door panel is now free to be removed.
There is a narrow filler strip along the windshield at the top of the dashboard. Pull that out (it is held in with friction tabs). This will expose two screws on the top of the center bezel. Remove the two screws and also there may be a screw at the bottom of the bezel behind the ash tray (if your jeep has one). Then the bezel should just pull out.

you must pop out the frame over the radio and a/c unit -there are six internal clips. then you will see the screws that hold the instrumet panel.just be careful you don't break the cover.
According to my Haynes manual all you have to do to get at the stereo is remove the center bezel. that is the plastic panel covering the area around the stereo and the climate controls. just grip the plastic between the radio and the climate control panel and pull. make sure to unplug the electrical connector for the courtesy light before you fully remove the bezel.

pry the switch bezel up with a small flat blade screwdriver, unplug switch. turn switch over and gently!!!!!! pry the switch tabs from the bezel GENTLY PRY!!! press in new switch, plug in connectors, press bezel into door panel
Detach the negative battery cable. Remove the bezel to get access to the control head and remove its screws. Remove the control panel. Pry the clips free. Disconnect cables from the heater. Install the new control panel.
