The Ka'aba is the black, quadrilateral block/cube at the center of the temple in Mecca, where Muslim Pilgrims visit each year during special religious traditions/events.

The Kabba / Ka'aba also encases a black meteorite that was worshiped by pre-Islam pagan Arabs along with the crescent moon god who ironically was also called allah (among other names) and resided in Mecca. Statues of this moon god have been found throughout the Arabian peninsula and northern Africa. This moon god was their main god but there was also a sun goddess and 3 star daughters that were worshiped. This is obviously why mosques and flags in the Middle East contain a crescent moon (and star). Muhammed assimilated these pagan people into his new faith of Islam but technically the god of Islam "Allah" is not the God of the Christians and Jews. The "Jin" or genies of the desert also stem from this pagan pre-Islamic history but some Muslims attribute the sound of the wind blowing across the dunes as being the voice of Allah instead of the jin/genies. Many religions have assimilated or overlapped older religions to gain converts but not quite to the extent of Islam--it's just something that's not discussed since many Islamic countries are such closed societies and intertwine government & religion and cover up or even destroy the historical past as evidenced in Afghanistan with the ancient giant Buddha statues that were blown up, defaced Egyptian statues and the sphinx, destroyed or converted (to mosques) churches & synagogues throughout the Muslim world & the Armenian genocide in Turkey that wiped out whole towns in eastern Turkey.

The Black Stone was originally a sacred pagan stone. The Christian, Clement of Alexandria wrote ca 190 CE that "the Arabs worship stone", a reference to their veneration of stones such as this one. The ancient Persians claimed that that the stone is an emblem of Saturn, left in the Kaaba by Mahabad and his successors. Wellhausen thinks that the pagan god Hubal was originally the Black Stone, and concludes that he was Allah, the god of the Meccans.

Muslims venerate the stone as being given to Ishmael by the angel Gabriel to build the Kaaba. The Black Stone was removed by the Qarmatians in the 4th Muslim century and restored by them after many years.

Ka'aba is the House of almighty Allah. It was rebuilt by Hazrat Abraham (AS) assisted by his son Hazrat Ismaiel (AS). Almighty Allah commanded Hazrat Abraham (AS) to announce to the people of the universe (living or yet to take birth) to come to Ka'aba to perform Hajj. Miraculously, the people or the souls yet to be born replied, "Labbaik, Allah Humma Labbaik . Labbaika La Shrika Laka Labbaik. Innal Hamda, wan-Na;amataka, laka wal Mulk, la Sharika lak. Translation: Here we present ourselves, O, Our Allah Almighty. All praise be to You, all blessings are from You, for you belongs all Power. You, Who have no Partner or Associate.. And whosoever proclaim Talbihah is supposed to be blessed with the visit of Ka'aba. The Muslims offer their prayers facing Ka'aba. They come here to perform Umrah and hajj. It is the Most Sacred place on the earth for the Muslims.
