Hypoattenuation is a term used to describe areas that show up as whiter and brighter than normal on an x-ray or CT Scan. Hypoattenuating lesions are commonly referred to in regards to the liver or kidneys. If your doctor looks on your CT scan and spots an area on your kidney or liver that is whiter or brighter than it should be, this is a hypoattenuating lesion. The lesion could be a sore or a cyst, but it could also be the sign of something more serious, such as a tumor.

T2 is a type of MRI imaging technique in which TE and TR (Echo time and Repetition time) are longer and the image's contrast and brightness is determined specifically by T2 signals. A "hyperintense lesion" would appear as a bright white spot on a T2-weighted MRI, and its location is in the left centrum semiovale. The centrum semiovale is a large region of "white matter". It is composed of the fibers carrying information to and from the surface of the brain (cortex) to the deeper structures of the brain and to the spinal cord.

I have a lesion on my right kidney I have had it for around 6 years maybe less but it used to be full of fat and 2mm and mow it is completely solid with absolutely no fat and around the same size. Could it be cancer I went to a Kidney doc and he looked at the scans and said "I don't think it is cancer it could be precancer but i think it is not cancer." not tests just looked at a CT. Am I crazy for wanting more then i think i know that walking in the door.
