Pretty much anything and everything. Really cheap ones can be made out of high tensile steel(hi-ten), slightly less cheap one would be Cr-Mo(chrome- molybdemium). Then there are aluminum bikes, titan bikes, carbon fiber bikes and a bunch of oddballs,
