I am given a medicine called LASIX for Edema, which I understand is swelling and fluid retention to the degree that your skin will pit when a swollen area; say on your calves is pushed in, it stays pushed in like silly putty, and takes a few moments to come back to normal. When you see this, there is also fluid around your heart as well as elsewhere; and believe me, an over the counter water pill is about as helpful as a placebo, which is saying you need a good Cardiologist ASAP. My own research has told me that I definitely need to see a new one.
Congestive heart failure is a collection of conclusions, so there is no single test that determines whether an individual has the syndrome. A number of tests are generally performed before a diagnosis is made. These include: an electrocardiogram (EKG) which may show causes of irregular heart rhythm; chest x-ray, showing an enlarged heart and/or fluid on the lungs; and an echocardiogram which can reveal the strength of the heart muscle, the size of the chambers, and valvular problems. Other tests used to determine presence of congestive heart failure are radionuclide ventriculogram (RVG) and cardiac catheterization.
Toxic shock syndrome is diagnosed based on the symptoms a person is showing. Some of these symptoms include fever, systolic blood pressure, vomiting, renal failure, and hepatic inflammation.
You could talk to a psychologist and tell them the signs of Aspergers that your husband is showing. That way if your husband does have Aspergers he can get medicine for his symptoms, but not all people with Aspergers need medicine
How long does it take for HIV symptoms to start showing
BNP, or B-type natriuretic peptide,is a blood test that helps determine if someone is suffering from Congestive Heart Failure, and if so, how advanced it is. BNP is released by the left ventricle in the heart, which is the most muscular part of the heart that pumps blood to the rest of the body. A small amount of BNP is normal for anyone, but a high level of it suggests that the heart muscle is weakened and stretched. This can be a sign of congestive heart failure. Usually the higher the level of BNP, the more difficult it is for the heart to meet the body's demands. This test is often done if a patient is showing signs of congestive heart failure, such as shortness of breath when lying flat or walking, swelling in the legs or body, abnormal heart sounds, or fluid in the lungs.
If a person is showing symptoms, then the lupus is not dormant.
DefinitionSymptomatic can mean showing symptoms, or it may concern a specific symptom. Symptoms are signs of disease or injury and are usually noticed by the patient. Many conditions and diseases have symptoms. A cough can be a symptom of an upper respiratory infection. When someone has the common symptoms associated with a disease or condition, they are considered symptomatic. When a disease exists without noticeable symptoms, the patient is asymptomatic.
It actually means this. showing the symptoms of a fever.
Increased Broncho Vascular markings on any chest X-ray only means that the X-ray is showing more than ususal blood vessels and wind pipes, which is usually due to a Chest infection. It can also be seen in conditions like chronic bronchitis, congestive cardiac failure and can even be passed as normal if there is no symptoms of cough, breathing difficulty or chest pain..hope this helps you...
