A metaphor is "a figure of speech in which an expression is used to refer to something that it does not literally denote in order to suggest a similarity"

A figure of speech that makes a comparison between two unlike things, without using the word like or as.

For example " My mind is a calculator, it can only do sums"

Unlike a simile of which you would put like or and as

for example " My mind is like a calculator, its like it can only do sums"
