I don't really know the answer to that question. Maybe you should ask someone smarter... Like a doctor. Because the internet thinks it knows everything but i have been looking for thirty minutes trying to find an answer to this... "When a pair of chromosomes contains different alleles for a trait, that trait is called a(n) _____?" and i just cannot find the answer... but! if anyone knows the answer to this tell me and i will go back to trusting the internet!
Thank you,

Chromosome contains gene at specific loci's and 2 allels are present in each gene except sex chromosome. In two alleles present in a gene 1 allele is from mother and other from father. The dominant allele characterestic's is expressed in the individual.
homozygous
multiple alleles
Chromosome
Then a combination of the two visual forms of the alleles (meaning any visual things the alleles cause get combined) is formed. Either that, or one pair dominates the other, and the new person becomes a carrier of the dominated pair.
Two or more genes which control the same characteristic.
homozygous
A pair of identical alleles controlling the same characteristic.
Alleles that are the same = homozygous Alleles that are different = heterozygous
A pair of alleles which are the same are said to be homozygous.
homozygous
a combination of two alleles which comprise the gene pair
When the alleles are identical, the individual is homozygous for that trait. While if the pair is made of two different alleles.
multiple alleles
A gene pair that consists of 2 dominant or 2 recessive alleles is considered homozygous dominant or homozygous recessive.
Chromosome
heterozygous
