A pakul is another term for a pakol, a round-topped soft type of men's hat, usually made from wool, traditionally worn in Afghanistan but also in Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
There are no synonyms of pakul in the English language and it's not even a word to begin with. Perhaps it was a typo.
